Braved Walmart

I was out of everything, so I braved going to Walmart today. It was crowed, but not as bad as I expected. It's a new store and located way from the center of town, which is perfect for me. I really was only out for a very short time yesterday and said that was crazy. People can be so rude! Wouldn't it be nice if people could just treat each other nicely?

I really need to do some laundry and vacuum the house today. Im just emotionally drained from Thanksgiving, plus I'm coming off a manic episode. At least I'm ready for Christmas. With surgery coming up next week I had to pull my act together. I got Alice's gifts wrapped and in the mail. I also got a couple of friends gifts to wrap. I didn't send out a lot of cards this year, but they are on there way too. I made my own name tags on the computer, which was kind of fun. Maybe next year I'll try Christmas cards.

I'm  hoping to spend a few days at my best friends house for Christmas weather  permitting. I really don't want to be alone on Christmas day. Not even for part of the day. Thanksgiving was just too hard. I don't know what kind of pain level I'll be in 3 weeks post op. Pain is not something new for me, so I'm sure I'll be fine.

Good Luck with your surgery and I couldn't help but sneak in and check out your site.
I can't even imagine how your holidays will pan out but remember to reach out to others and let them support you through the trying times to come.
Blessings to you...

I'm glad you were able to get out to the store and get what you needed. I totally agree-- it would be lovely if people were nice. Isn't it kind of ironic that when it gets nearer to the holiday season people tend to become more rude instead of more polite? I guess people just get busy and frazzled.

I'll be here with you during your surgery and recovery. I hope the doctors give you the meds you need to manage your pain. And hopefully there won't be much pain!

Wishing you well,
NOS

Spending time with friends always helps the "loss" of life feel less. I will pray you get to spend time with your best friend. And pray for me, too, please. I dont want to spend Christmas alone either. Thanksgiving alone was WAY too much for me as well.

Thinking of you and lovin you from afar. Hugs! :)

And yes, wouldn't it be nice if everyone was kind??

Hi Wanda, WOW I didn't realize your surgery was so soon. Next week! I pray for peace for you and of course complete healing. I sure hope your sis in law can take you to the vigil. If I was close we could both go. Thank you for your words of support sister, but it is not I who has the strength but God in me. You too are so much stronger than you give yourself credit for. I will be thinking of you during these days ahead. I feel like I will be able to handle it well, but of course I've never done this before either. Love you girl, Mollye

Welldone! I was shopping today too, and it was a bit like an infight sometimes, definitely too many humans in one space for my like. You done it! And you did some things more - more than I brought on the way over the last days. I only realized that its the first of advent today, we'll face a snow problem ... the spiritual side of the time will set in when it is ready to happen, that's always the case and I trust in this. In re your post op payne level, I think you can bed pretty relaxed about this - modern medications are really good. Don't worry about this, Wanda, it will be cared for by professionals. Important is you, how you feel and what you can bear - or not, and how to deal with this. Just sayin'.

Walmart? That IS brave! Though it was not a replacement, my husband had a pretty involved knee surgery a few years ago. It helped him a lot. I hope yours will help you, too. I'll be cheering for you!
