The first week is always the worst. Hopefully the pain slows to a dull ache soon.
In this "land of equality" in which we live, unless you are wealthy, you won't get what you need. The patron deity of politicians, God Money, only loves those who makes $250,000 plus a year.

Shit, hope you have enough of them payne killers. Walking and standing for six hours a day less than a week after operation? Tough program. But if it is bearable in any way - move and walk. You need strength and independence.

I'm so sorry you're in so much pain and that Medicare didn't pull through. Insurance companies are such thieves sometimes.

I am wishing you well in your recovery and hope that the pain will subside soon.

Dear Wanda,

I'm thinking of you so much and hoping that the pain eases off soon. You have done so well and been so brave. Now let those who love you look after you.

Hope that you can rest, properly rest.

I'm such an awful friend!! I'm sorry I didn't keep in closer touch! This has been a terrible week .. that car accident that was on the news with the car on fire, was the young man that lived with us for 9 months ... plus finals week ... soooooooooo tired ..and I kept remembering to call you after they wouldn't let my phone call through! ARGH!!

The problem with the medicare pt system ... if you recover quickly, it's MUCH better for you in the long term, but you don't get rehab which is better for you in the short term.
If you recover slowly enough to get rehab, you have long term recovery complications.

you know how to reach me and my last final is tomorrow ...
