What Is The Matter With People?

A young man was shipped back to the states after giving his life in the war. Outside his funeral service there were protesters of is war with picket signs. This is a terrible thing for the family of the young man who gave his all for our country. To add to the family terrible grief is unthinkable. I believe in free speech, but this was totally out of line. Respect and honor are due this young man. Think of the family and there great loss. This young man was a hero and deserved the respect.

I agree, that is why different veterans groups have shown up to Honor a fallen Serviceman, the way that it should be done.

This is probably those sick tw*ts from the Westboro Batsh*t "Church." They are very evil people who often protest at the funerals of soldiers, and also of gay people. They even showed up in a town where a woman had been murdered to spread their hate. A very twisted bunch, to be sure.

That's definitely not okay. If they are against the war then they should protest the people who make decisions about the war, not those who gave their lives for it. You're right, it's incredibly hurtful and disrespectful for the family.

Wishing you well,
