This & That

Well I'm still a bit manic, but at least I've had two nights sleep. Raine you hit it one the money ! My doctor tried Seroquel. She only wants me on it for a short time because it can cause you to want to want to eat more and give you a real "Sweet tooth" Like I don't already have that problem.

Today I went to see a credit counselor and he said I didn't make enough money for him to help. Now how sad is that? If it were not so sad I would be laughing my pants off. So I'm a little twisted. I guess that happens after two weeks of no sleep. The counselor did tell me of a program for cheaper food called "Angel Food". I think I'm going to give it a try. Every little bit helps when you on a tight budget. All thing considered I have been in a great mood. ANYTHING is better than depression!

My friend and I are talking about making a quilt for the homeless people. We have never done any thing like that before and thought it would be fun and a nice thing to do. Neither of us sew or quilt, but there is always a first time for everything.

I don't make enough money for the credit counseling people to help either! But I make too much to get food stamps. It's called being marginalized. There are so many people in this sort of situation. But we aren't banks, so there's no way the government will bail us out.

The trick with the seroquel is to only take very low doses. like 25 mg or even 12 1/2. I take 25 unless I am manic, then I take 50. If I am REALLY manic then I take a 100 and then the mania goes down so does the seroquel. That way I dont gain alot of weight or get to the point where I have a tolerance for it. it works. to save money ask your doctor for samples. As far as credit counselors go......... I am in the same position but there is something you may not realize. Nobody can attach a social security check. Only the federal goverment for stuff like the IRS or child support and Im not sure about child support. If you dont owe the federal government money your check is safe. If the debts you owed are unsecured (credits cards for example) and you just dont pay them ..... well there is nothing they can do. This is a lousy choice to have to make as you will lose your credit but if push comes to shove.... they cant attach a social security check. You should of course check the laws where you live as they may be different from here. I am personally paying mine off little by little every month as I hope to buy a mobile home some day and dont want to lose my credit but if it gets to be too much I can just not pay them. Thats what the credit counselors told me. If you have a car loan or furniture or anything like tho they will come and get it. Its a tough choice to make but sometimes you have no choice. Dont make this choice unless you check first of course. I dont live where you do. BUt if it comes down to not having money for food, shelter, medications you may have to. You didnt ask to be sick. ALso check, often there is insurance on the credit cards and loans that pays off the balance if you become disabled. You may be paying bills you dont have to.

I am pretty sure she's right ...they didn't touch my social security for my student loan ...

ANGEL FOOD ROCKS!! Great food, lots of it ..$30 for about $55 to $60 worth of quality food! I think this weekend is the the weekend at the methodist church on Main ... call me mid week and double check. 8 to noon ...they also have a thursday time but I'm not sure what that time is.

If you dont' have the $$ and SP won't help ... call me. They're giving away 2 Wii systems at the Halloween thing ...they by golly can give you $30 to help you and C eat for a month!!!

There are add on packages for $15 to $20 as well, but you have to get the $30 first ... it's LOTS of good food.

The church we've changed to has a food bank too ... if SP won't help and you don't have the money, call me. I'll take you to BC.

Two nights of sleep. It tugged my heart to read that you are grateful for just that. I wish you many more nights of good sleep. It's so hard getting this neurochemistry right.

Wow! I'm glad you finally got some sleep. I thought I was having sleep problems lately--but what you went through just shouldn't be allowed for any human. Safe hugs. ((((Wanda))))

First i would like to thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment for me :) I'm glad to hear that you are doing much better these days. And i think that it would be a lot of fun to do a quilt for the homeless. How sweet is that. And i know if i were to do something like that i would feel very good inside knowing that i was helping people out there that needed to be acknowledged. I'm sure you will have fun doing it.
Hugs & Blessings,
Love,Stacy

I am sorry you are manic. The quilt you are thinking about making, what a wonderful idea! I loved quilting, and someday will get back into it, for now painting is keeping me so busy.

I hope you have a blessed weekend.
