I was pulling some weeds the other day and I guess I got into some poison ivy or something. I woke up yesterday with my eyes swollen shut and a rash on my face. I have been itching like crazy and feeling a little short of breath. So I went to the doctor this morning because my face looked like some kind of monster and there was a rash on my arms. They gave me a steroid shot which I hope will take some of the itching away. He also called in some cream and more steroids. Hopefully I'll be feeling better soon.

Oh dear! Feel better, Wanda. I've heard that poison ivy is horrible. But it's good you got your shot early-- that way it will be much more bearable.
Wishing you well,
NOS
Oh man--I had this on my bum and legs once when I stopped to take a pause for the cause near a tree. My cheeks must have rubbed against some poison ivy. It was horrible--the itching went on for 2 weeks. I also had it on my ankle and foot once. On the face would be terrible!
Oh my gosh dear one I am so very sorry. I have never encountered Poison Ivy before, so I cannot imagine what you are going through. Blessings.
I hope you're feeling better by now. That's awful. Take care. God bless.
I hope that will go away fast. Cooling may help - it does not cure, but may help with the itch. Short of breath is no good too. Is that greenery near your house? Be careful then, it stays aggressive, even with old leaves.
Praying for you to feel much better very soon.
This certainly brings back memories of my childhood. I was always getting into poison ivy and I was very allergic. I luckily never got it on my face that I remember, but I used to have it EVERYWHERE else. I remember having to take oatmeal baths for it. I think I outgrew my allergy or I just grew up and stayed out of it. :)
