Hi, this is Pk ... I just came from the hospital. My son and I walked into Wanda's room and PT was getting her up and out of bed. She was sitting in the chair eating lunch. When we left, she'd been up for the entire 30 minutes they'd asked her to be! My mother went through 2 knee replacements and Wanda is managing signifcantly better than I'd seen with my mom! I'm so proud of her, so impressed.
Her pain levels are higher than what's comfortable, but not unexpected for this stage.
Her pulse ox is dropping randomly, but she said that's not unusual for her.
Thank you all for your prayers. She's considering going to rehab before going home (this would be a good thing but will be up to insurance, not her or her doctors). I will keep you as updated as I can.

Thank you so much PeggiKaye for reporting back...tell her that I said to hang in there and keep fighting! I'm sending her thoughts and prayers...
HA - well done! Thank You for the update Peggikaye! Hope she can go to the rehab after hospital, can't be wrong. I think sitting upright for more than 30 minutes the day after is heavy! It seems to have gone all right, yeah!
Thank you for the update, Peggikaye. If you see Wanda again please tell her that I'm so glad she is managing well, that I hope the pain decreases soon, and that I'm keeping my fingers crossed that her insurance pulls through for the rehab.
Thanks!

*BIG HUG* for Wanda!
I will either go up and see her tomorrow night, or at least call her so I can get an update for everyone.
I've got finals this week ..so my time/energy is severely taxed ... but I'll do my best to keep everyone updated
Wishing you well and hoping you will be on the mend quickly!

Thank you so much for the update!! Please tell her Jackie is thinking of her and sends her my love!!

Jackie
just dropping by o see how you are healing.
Good news. Thanks for sharing with us.
May you remain strong sister Wanda in the Lord's mighty power. I took care of those patients years ago. Not easy but so wonderful to see them get up and walk again. The pain might be a lot but when it starts to heal, you'll feel those brand new knees! Take care and God bless.
